Position Description:

The VOTC crew position is designed for anyone over the age of 16.

VOTC Crew members will be trained to operate both the boats and the locks. Crew members are expected to study and learn facts and information about the area, program, and history of Denver. Crew members will be provided with this information. In addition to operating the boats and locks, crew members are expected to work hard, work well with others, be customer service oriented, enjoy being outside, and be looking for a fun summer job.

Pay:
1st year crew - $7.00/hour

Hours:
Hours may fall during any of the following:
Wednesday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday – Sunday 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Requirements: 
Applicant must be at least 16 years of age, must be a hard worker, must be able to get to and from the work site (MAP), must be willing to do manual labor, learn facts about denver, and must be willing to entertain customers on the boat for up to 70 minutes at a time We expect crew to commit to a full summer (approx. June 1 – August 20).

Additional Information:
While parents are encouraged to contact my office with questions about the position, I will only review applicants who call and talk to me directly.  Parents are welcome/encouraged to “sit in” during the interview process.
